Truth Wins Out Alarmed by New Big Government Snooping Plan
Delray Beach, FL — Truth Wins Out expressed revulsion and considerable alarm today over Trump Administration orders to turn government colleagues into federal informants. The directive encourages employees to rat out fellow staff with allegations of surreptitiously promoting Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programs.
“Donald Trump’s new version of DEI is: Deceive, Eavesdrop and Inform,” said Truth Wins Out’s Executive Director Wayne Besen. “The role of government is supposed to be improving lives by offering accurate information, not ruining lives by creating an inside network of secret snitches.”
Truth Wins Out obtained a letter sent to staff yesterday at the Defense Health Agency. The invasive and threatening letter states:
Defense Health Agency Employees,
We are taking steps to close all agency DEIA offices and end all DEIA-related contracts in accordance with President Trump’s executive orders titled Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing and Initial Rescissions of Harmful Executive Orders and Actions.
If you are aware of a change in any contract description or personnel position description since November 5, 2024, to obscure the connection between the contract and DEIA or similar ideologies, please report all facts and circumstances to DEIAtruth@opm.gov within 10 days.
There will be no adverse consequences for timely reporting this information. However, failure to report this information within 10 days may result in adverse consequences.

The MAGA attacks on DEI are gaslighting that tricks people into believing that such programs were leading to unqualified minorities being hired to fill quotas. In reality, these efforts were created to increase workforce participation by racial and sexual minorities who were underrepresented due to discrimination or because they lacked connections to the Good Ole’ Boys network.
Rabid attacks on DEI and efforts to disfigure the federal government into a tool of right-wing extremists is led by ideologue Russell Vought. He is a Christian nationalist, key contributor to Project 2025 and Trump’s nominee to lead the Office of Management and Budget.
His bizarre plans include gutting the federal government and cowing federal employees to act as MAGA-bots. He also believes that the FBI should end background checks on senior government jobs.
“Vought would like to end background checks so his stealthy movement can slip-in dangerous and unqualified ideologues and hacks who can disable the government and undermine America’s national security,” said Truth Wins Out’s Wayne Besen. “They claim to oppose the Deep State, yet they embrace deep secrecy that keeps Americans in the dark about those who lead their government.”
