It is part of TWO’s unique efforts to monitor and debunk the vicious lies peddled by the nefarious “ex-gay” conversion industry. Living Hope Ministries has a long, sordid history as a pillar of the “ex-gay” industry. It was a keystone member of Exodus International, which was the world’s largest “ex-gay” conversion ministry until it disbanded in 2013, for failing to “change” the sexual orientation or gender identity of its clients.

Based in Dallas, Living Hope Ministries preys on desperate and vulnerable people who live in the Bible Belt and are falsely told they are sick and sinful. The dishonorable leaders of this organization exploit such societal pressure to browbeat LGBTQ people into joining their group in a desperate attempt to “pray away the gay”.

Tragically, Living Hope Ministries peddles nothing but false hope. They seduce new clients with love bombing and dangle carrots of “community”, “support” and “acceptance”.  

Their offerings and blessings, however, are totally conditional, always coming with the cruelest strings attached. One must sell their soul and abandon who they truly are to receive Living Hope’s cheap facsimile of “love”. If a client fails to meet the unfair terms of their Devil’s bargain, Living Hope unceremoniously snatches away the church’s affection and support. The client is shunned by “friends” and callously cast out into the wilderness.     

Far from “Living Hope”, what this deceptive scheme of guilt and shame provides is Hopeless Living.
