Truth Wins Out

Racism is Trump’s One Consistent, Life-Long Ideology

It took 12 hours for the Trump administration to take down a widely condemned video, posted on Truth Social, that depicted former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle as apes. Refusing to admit an error in judgment, Donald Trump said, “No, I didn’t make a mistake.”

He’s 100% correct, this was not a mistake. Instead, it was a deliberate message to his legions of white supremacist supporters. More than a single malign message, the corrosive content goes to the very core of “Trump the Man”, and “MAGA the Movement”. They are telling us exactly who they are and what vision they aspire to for our country’s future.

The ugliness of the monkey meme is a vivid reminder of Trump’s degeneracy. To quote his former best friend, Jeffrey Epstein, in an email to Larry Summers: “i have met some very bad people .. none as bad as trump. not one decent cell in his body..so yes- dangerous.”

Racism is a feature, not a bug in the Trump administration. It is an open sewer of white supremacy, where the lightening of America’s complexion is a primary driver of public policy.

The underlying MAGA ideology is the Great Replacement theory. It is a debunked conspiracy which falsely claims that liberal Democrats—often in conjunction with scheming globalist Jews—are deliberately opening our nation’s borders so people of color can flood in, build mosques, impose socialism, and replace white Christians.

The plot also dovetails neatly with a companion right wing conspiracy, that holds Democrats will direct these immigrants to illegally vote, in an effort to steal elections. Variations of this garbage are promoted by full-blown Nazis like Nick Fuentes, provocateurs like Steve Bannon, anti-Muslim activists, such as Laura Loomer, and Elon Musk, the world’s richest man.

Belief in the Great Replacement is likely responsible for the quick expansion of ICE. For conspiracy adherents, it is not enough to simply secure our border, build a wall and pass comprehensive immigration reform. They must aggressively hunt down and deport anyone remotely brown, particularly if they aren’t’ Christians.

MAGA is exploiting this narrow window of opportunity to relentlessly redress the Great Replacement by implementing what I call the “Great Reversal”. That’s why the ICE and Customs & Border Protection budgets surpass agencies such as the FBI and Secret Service, as well as the entire military budgets of countries such as Norway, Hungary, Chile and the Philippines.

The budget is abnormally high, because the goons working for these rogue agencies have the abnormal task of carrying out the dystopian fever dreams of white nationalist ideologues. Make America Great Again has always meant Make America White Again.

This is their big chance to fulfil the fantasy, and they aren’t going to miss it.

The Great Reversal project also increases the likelihood that Trump will cheat in the midterms. He and many of his voters truly believe in whitening America. A sweeping Democratic victory in November threatens this race removal project. That is why so many MAGA influencers portray their side winning as existential and claim that if Democrats win America will be lost.

It’s why they are so willing to resort to violence—like they did on January 6. The Great Replacement must be stopped at all costs, in their warped view. This also explains the cult-like worship of Donald Trump. His followers recognize a fellow traveler and understand that he is uniquely crazy enough to enact radical plans that were formerly only whispered at Ku Klux Klan meetings.

This demonization of minorities as a threat to white people clarifies why ICE has no compunction about arresting 5-year-old children. Through the lens of those carrying out the Great Reversal, these aren’t innocent kids, but invaders who are browning America at the expense of white victims.

It is important to understand that MAGA knows exactly what it is doing. In the lead-up to the 2024 presidential election, the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 collected resumes from right wing zealots. The intention was to purge nonpartisan civil servants and replace them with pliant extremists to carry out wicked plans.

Additionally, the New York Times reported that, “the White House, Labor Department and Homeland Security Department all having promoted posts that echo white supremacist messaging.”

According to the Times:

The posts have referred to neo-Nazi literature, ethnic cleansing and QAnon conspiracies, mused about deporting nearly a third of the U.S. population, and promoted lyrics from an anthem bellowed by the far-right militants of the Proud Boys.

This month, the White House and the Department of Homeland Security jointly posted a recruitment ad for Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Instagram, Facebook and X, overlaid with the words “WE’LL HAVE OUR HOME AGAIN.”

That’s also the name of a song, written by members of a self-described “pro-White fraternal order,” that has been embraced by the Proud Boys and other white-nationalist groups.

Hundreds of explicitly neo-Nazi and white-supremacist accounts have shared the song on Telegram, an encrypted messaging app, since 2020. The white supremacist who killed three Black people at a Jacksonville, Fla., dollar store in 2023 included lyrics from the song in his writing.

The Great Reversal, to stop the hallucinatory Great Replacement, explains why MAGA has largely dispensed with democracy. In their diseased minds, a country with a population so debased as to elect Barack Obama, has forfeited its right to freely choose a leader. In such a sick country, they believe, the selection of a leader must be left to moral, Christian, white patriots. Democracy can only lead to debauchery, in their view.

I first saw this phenomenon at right wing conferences after Obama was sworn in. The formerly flag-waving, uber-patriots on the right, were suddenly harsh critics of America. They no longer saw fellow citizens as good people they merely disagreed with. Instead, they began caricaturing and dehumanizing Democrats as black loving, gay hugging, welfare squandering, Muslim embracing, commies. Such hateful, un-American bile soon curdled into the Tea Party, before it metastasized into MAGA.

At this point, the evidence for Trump’s bigotry, and MAGA’s monstrous complicity, is overwhelming and incontrovertible. Mississippi Today reported this week that Trump’s National Park Service, “has removed visitor brochures from the Medgar & Myrlie Evers Home National Monument.”

In 1963, Byron De La Beckwith, a member of the White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, shot the civil rights leader Medgar Evers in the back on the driveway of the Evers family home in northwest Jackson.

Among Trump’s anticipated changes to the monument? No longer calling Medger’s murderer [Byron De La Beckwith] a ‘racist’…  Other edits include eliminating the reference to Medgar Evers lying in a pool of blood after being shot.”

“If you opened a picture dictionary and turned to the definition for ‘racist,’ you’d probably find a picture of Byron De La Beckwith,” said Jeff Steinberg, founder of Sojourn to the Past. Apparently, Trump is taking the Charlottesville route in Mississippi, believing there are, “very fine people, on both sides.”

Similarly, on Jan. 22. The National Parks Service removed panels from a Philadelphia exhibit at Independence National Historical Park that told, “the stories of the nine enslaved Africans who were held by President George Washington.”

Trump’s revisionist lies extend to our nation’s most treasured museums. In August, the president declared the Smithsonian “woke” and ordered his administration to purge “divisive, race-centered ideology”.

“Everything discussed is how horrible our Country is, how bad Slavery was, and how unaccomplished the downtrodden have been,” Trump whined.

When one is steeped in white supremacy, whitewashing history is the natural result. Trump’s motivation for his actions is easy to understand. He and his family have a well-known and long-documented history of antipathy towards minorities, particularly black people. In last week’s Epstein file dump, the sex trafficker wrote of an upcoming party:

“trump will be there. doesn’t like black girls, calls them boogers’, wont’ go w in 10 feet”

Unfortunately, Trump’s bigotry has been shielded, to some degree, by self-serving minority apologists. There are groveling gays, such as administration lackeys Richard Grenell and Scott Bessent, who obediently run interference for Trump’s anti-LGBTQ policies. This includes ending an LGBTQ youth suicide hotline.

There are shameful Trump-aligned Project 2025 organizations like Concerned Women for America, that fight to take away women’s empowerment. Janice Shaw Crouse of CWA once told the Christian Post, real feminist women in the workplace “don’t view their job as a career or they don’t see themselves as career women – they see themselves helping their husbands.”

Another Project 2025 group is the Freedom’s Journal Institute for the Study of Faith and Public Policy (FJI). It is an African American organization of opportunists who launder Trump’s racism.

“America still can’t put down the race card…it’s the shame of our nation,” said FJI advisory board member Pastor Corey Brooks.

Bishop Aubrey Shines, chairman of the Conservative Clergy of Color and another FJI advisory board member said:

“You’ve been hoodwinked… [The police] are not taking our lives, they’re defending our lives. Please stop being pawns and flunkies and stooges for your political party and for those in the news media that incite the fake news narratives that actually inflames this deluge of ignorance that keeps you on their plantation.”

While FJI is harshly critical of Black Lives Matter, they are so far silent on the President of the Unites States portraying a former president and his wife as apes. Equally silent is Rep. Byron Donalds, a Trump-endorsed Florida congressman. If Donalds runs for Florida governor as hard as he runs away from criticizing Trump’s bigotry, he will win in a landslide.

Thankfully, some minority supporters of Trump are beginning to see the truth. On X, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), the only Black Republican in the Senate andhead of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, called Trump’s depiction of the Obamas, “the most racist thing I’ve seen out of this White House.”

Scott’s statement implies that he’s seen other racist tropes. So, why does he continue trying to elect Republicans?

Meanwhile, Latinas for Trump co-founder, and Florida Republican State Senator, Ileana Garcia is speaking out against recent ICE raids. She admitted, “It’s gone too far…most people will come in and whisper in my ear, ‘Aren’t you afraid they’re going to primary you?’” said Garcia, who is up for re-election this year. “No, I’m not. I’m afraid of someone stopping my son. That’swhat I’m afraid of.”

However, as part of the Trump-cult, Garcia is still deflecting responsibility away from Trump and instead blaming the president’s key aides. “I do think that he [Trump] will lose the midterms because of Stephen Miller.”

I suspect Garcia is correct about the elections and that Trump replacing racist dog whistles with public ape videos is a losing message. If not, America is beyond repair and about to enter a gloomy epoch that seeks to dismantle the incredible progress of the civil rights movement.
